The necessity of everyday living
Arnos Grove tube station,
The necessity of everyday living was commissioned by Platform for Art and was our contribution to Thin Cities, a series of projects to celebrate the centenary of the Piccadilly Line. We had four one-week mini residencies in the 'passimeter' kiosk structure at Arnos Grove tube station, where we designed four booklets, each of which focussed on a different figure responsible for the development of the Underground (Architects Charles Holden & Lesley Green and Underground Chief Executives and pioneers Frank Pick & Charles Tyson Yerkes). We also made a collage decoration for the passimeter, and designed an oyster card wallet.
